Brandi Glanville is opening up about the emotional and financial toll of removing her breast implants after linking them to serious health problems.
Speaking on the February 26 episode of the I Do, Part 2 podcast, the 53-year-old television personality revealed that the decision came after years of unexplained symptoms and medical visits.
Reflecting on her 20-year-old implants, Brandi said, “They were making me sick.” She explained that the journey to find answers was long and expensive.
“I went to 21 doctors. I’m telling you, [it cost] $200,000. I had insurance but the people at my insurance, Kaiser let’s just say,” she shared.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum described seeing a wide range of specialists while searching for the cause of her condition.
She recalled “paying out of pocket to see specialists, infectious disease doctors, rheumatologists, every doctor you can think of, I saw.”
At first, routine tests offered no clear explanation. Her mammograms appeared “fine,” and doctors did not initially suspect the implants were responsible for her symptoms.
But the health issues escalated quickly. “It came on overnight. I have weird lumps in my neck. … I still have them,” Brandi revealed. “I can’t explain the brain fog. The fatigue.”
A sonogram later uncovered a more serious issue. According to Brandi, doctors discovered that her right breast had “ruptured” and had “leaks” that resulted in “silicone in both my lymph nodes.”
After undergoing removal surgery, she said she has already begun to feel improvement.
“I’m two weeks out right now, but the first week, I was, like, up,” she shared. “I was actually doing too much because I was so excited to be moving.”

While navigating the health scare, Brandi also spoke about her relationship with her ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian. She said he did not offer much support during the ordeal.
“He has not [shown support],” Brandi noted. “But we are getting along and that’s all I can ask for. We are together on holidays.”
The mother of Mason, 18, and Jake, 20, said the illness forced her to miss time with her children, which she found particularly difficult.
“I missed a few because I was ill and it sucked to not be with my boys. I literally would lay in bed for four days straight.” Now recovering, Brandi says she is hopeful about her health after finally addressing what she believes was the root of her symptoms.
