Tori Spelling And Dean McDermott Finalize Divorce After Seventeen-Year Marriage Ends

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have officially finalized their divorce, more than two years after their separation. The longtime couple reached a mutual agreement resolving all matters, including child custody, financial support, and the division of assets, according to Us Weekly.

Spelling, best known for her role on Beverly Hills, 90210, filed court documents on Monday confirming that the pair had settled the key terms of their split. While the agreement has been reached, the actress has not yet filed the finalized deal with the court.

The couple, who share five children ranging in age from eight to 18, have been navigating their separation privately since parting ways. Their marriage, which began in 2006, had faced public speculation for several years before the split was confirmed.

Rumors about trouble in their relationship first surfaced in early 2021 when Spelling was seen without her wedding ring. Reports later emerged that the pair were living in separate bedrooms, though they briefly appeared to put those rumors to rest by attending a family outing together later that year.

However, in June 2023, McDermott publicly announced the end of their marriage in an emotional Instagram post, which he later deleted. “It’s with great sadness and a very, very heavy heart that after 18 years together and five amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways and start a new journey of our own,” he wrote.

He added, “We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time.”

Following the announcement, McDermott admitted that he posted the message while under the influence. He later sought professional treatment for alcohol and pill addiction, acknowledging the personal struggles that contributed to the breakdown of their marriage.

Spelling, meanwhile, has been focused on caring for their children and rebuilding her life. Despite the challenges, she has continued to work in television and remains active on social media, where she frequently shares updates about her family and projects.

The couple’s split marks the end of a relationship that once captured Hollywood’s attention. Spelling and McDermott met in 2005 while filming the Lifetime movie Mind Over Murder. Both were married to other people at the time, but quickly began a romance that led to their wedding in Fiji a year later.

Although their marriage endured numerous ups and downs, both have emphasized their commitment to co-parenting amicably. Friends close to the pair say their focus now is providing stability for their children as they officially close this chapter of their lives.
