Ella Langley isn’t shy about owning her spending habits, and it turns out they recently got so out of hand that her business manager had to pull the brakes. The country singer opened up about it while chatting with Taste of Country before the 59th annual CMA Awards, and she made it pretty clear that her weakness comes down to one thing she can’t resist. Candles. Lots of them.
Langley, who’s 26 and still getting used to the fast pace of her rising career, said her love for anything that smells sweet has been catching up to her. She laughed about the moment she was basically told to cut herself off after a trip that left her with a receipt she’d rather forget. “My business manager was like, ‘No more splurge purchasing, you’re done!’” she said, explaining that she had dropped “200 at a candle store.”
According to her, the scents get her every time. “That’s enough. That’ll do it,” she joked while admitting she goes for everything from sugary candles to cleaner scents like eucalyptus. “I like sweet scents. But I also like clean, like a little eucalyptus candle for my bathroom. I need as much Zen as I can get,” she said.
But the candles aren’t the only thing she’s spent big on recently. Langley also bought her first home back in Alabama, something she revealed during a show at the Ryman Auditorium after taking a break from touring. Fans remember her fall 2025 break when she stepped back to take care of her “health, mind, body, and heart.”
She shared the moment she finally got to sit inside her own place in an Instagram video, saying, “I bought my first house, and I got to sit in it for the first time. I got to sit there and see what is happening in my life and the thing that I’m working so hard for, and how it is changing my life and my family’s life.” Even now she admits, “Yeah, I don’t get to go there very often, but I did [buy a house].”
With her career climbing fast, she probably won’t have much time to shop anyway. Langley just picked up three CMA Awards for Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Music Video of the Year for “you look like you love me,” her collaboration with Riley Green. And next year, she’s booked solid. She’s joining Eric Church on his Free The Machine Tour and hitting the road with Morgan Wallen on his Still The Problem Tour.
