Airport Says Iggy Azalea Was Late For Her Flight, Was Not American Airlines’ Fault

Iggy Azalea claims that American Airlines abandoned her and her baby, but according to airport personnel, that may not be the case.

TMZ has learned from airline sources… At 5:30 p.m., the “Fancy” rapper arrived at the airport for a 6:00 p.m. flight. She was reportedly able to check her bags and get through security, but a member of her party was delayed at TSA.

According to our sources, boarding concluded 15 minutes before departure, giving Iggy and the rest of the crew only 15 minutes to check luggage, get through security, and get to the gate. And by the time she arrived at the gate, it had already closed.

Her luggage, meanwhile, is said to have made it onto the plane and will be delivered to her home.

Of course, this isn’t the same as Iggy’s side of the story. She expressed her dissatisfaction in a series of tweets, stating that the airline had stranded her and her baby by selling their seats when the gate was still open. Don’t even get her started on her belongings.

I wanted to tell any families booking travel to be careful flying with young kids on @AmericanAir

I was flying with my son & they sold our seats while the gate was still open then refused to take our bags off the plane although every other flight was sold out for that night. 1/2

As per Miamistandard, other people began to express their sorrow and share similar stories after she cautioned other families not to fly American Airlines.

American Airlines was reached out and they had no comment.
