Paris Hilton Turned Down a DJ Gig for the President in Order to Attend Britney Spears’s Wedding

We wouldn’t have missed Britney Spears‘ wedding for anything, and it looks like Paris Hilton felt the same way. In a new episode of her podcast, This is Paris, the singer discussed the major gig she had to pass up in order to attend Spears’ wedding: a DJ performance for US President Joe Biden and a group of other world leaders.

“I was actually asked DJ for the president and all of the other presidents around the world for the dinner,” Hilton said, referencing the dinner President Biden hosted on Thursday for heads of state and government as a part of the Ninth Summit of the Americas. “But this was more important to me,” she added.

Hilton went on to discuss the wedding, all the while keeping the specific details hush-hush, as she said, “I’m not going to go into any details because it was the princess bride’s night and that’s her story to tell, but all I can say is that I’m so incredibly happy for her. She looked stunning and it just made me so happy to see that she found her fairytale.”

The star of The Simple Life wasn’t the only big name in city. Despite the fact that Spears and her husband, Sam Asghari, kept the ceremony small and intimate, Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, Madonna, Donatella Versace, and others were among the guests, according to Daily Mail.

Spears posted a video on her Instagram account of the day’s events, in which we saw all of the celebrities in attendance. “Fairytales are real,” she wrote in her caption.

Rejecting a job offer from the president? That’s what I call a true friend.

Spears married longtime partner Sam Asghari on June 9 at her home in Los Angeles surrounded by about 60 family members and friends.

Along with Hilton, the guest list included Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, and Donatella Versace, as per Yahoo reported.
