On Thursday’s episode of her “Just B with Bethenny Frankel” podcast, the sharp-tongued “Real Housewives of New York City” alum made the loaded statement while weighing in on the actress’ current defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp.
“Johnny Depp looks like a hero only in a relationship with Amber Heard,” Frankel, 51, said, joking that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star “is gonna be f–king anointed Gandhi and the pope” when all is said and done “because he was in a relationship with the craziest woman that’s walked this planet.”
The businesswoman and philanthropist went on, “I’m sure Queen Elizabeth is calling him being like, ‘Come here, I wanna give you a knighthood because you’re now the hero in this crazy villain story.’
“It doesn’t make any sense. Johnny Depp plus anyone besides Amber Heard is a raving, [MDMA], cocaine, s–t-in-bed-tolerating man.
“But here, he looks …” she continued, loudly breaking out into a Mariah Carey song, “‘and then a hero comes along!’ because Amber Heard is who he’s being compared to.”
Frankel ended her rant by shouting, “Put me next to Shrek! … I’ll be co-hosting the Met [Gala] next year with Anna Wintour!”
Depp, 58, and the “Aquaman” star, 36, have been at odds since April 11 over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she described herself as a victim of domestic violence.
Although she did not name the “Edward Scissorhands” star, he claimed the article harmed his reputation and career.
According to NBC News, in court, shocking allegations about the couple’s tumultuous marriage — which lasted from 2015 to 2017 — have been made, including Depp’s claims that Heard once defecated on his bed and severed his finger.
Heard, on the other hand, has accused Depp of habitually striking her and sexually assaulting her with a liquor bottle, sometimes while drunk or high.
The claims have been denied by both parties.
Throughout the trial, Depp’s supporters have steadfastly maintained him, while detractors have used Heard’s alleged borderline personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder diagnoses to attack her credibility.
