Paul Barresi could not find anyone to speak against the actor
The trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is still ongoing, and any statement or evidence against either character could be important. As a result, the actress decided to make a decision before the Fairfax trial.
Who is the investigator Heard hired?
According to the Marca News, last summer, Heard would have hired a private investigator to look for incriminating evidence or statements made by Johnny Depp. The interpreter actress would provide her services to Paul Barresi, a former porn star.
However, it did not go as planned, and the detective was unable to reveal any evidence that could be used in the trial. After interviewing over 100 Depp friends and acquaintances, the conclusion was the same: there was no evidence.
Indeed, many of those interviewed praised the Golden Globe winner’s warm and generous character. According to reports published by the Mail online newspaper.
“I went to the United States, France, Italy, Great Britain, everywhere Johnny Depp went, I could not find a case or at least an admission that he physically abused a woman. He’s like an angel. Not one of them said anything derogatory,” Barresi explains in his report.
He added more details about his investigation: “I interviewed dozens of people who had known him for three decades, and no one had anything bad to say about him. In fact, they couldn’t express enough how generous he was.”
Nonetheless, the detective agreed that the most significant feature of Depp’s circle is the loyalty of those he knows. Barresi’s only criticism was that his circle was “strange and disgusting.”
