Newly unsealed court documents from Texas identify the singer known as D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke, as a suspect in the death of a 14-year-old girl.
The documents were unsealed in Texas, where Burke is originally from and where his family continues to reside. Among the filings are petitions seeking to compel his parents to travel to Los Angeles to testify before a grand jury.
In the petitions, Burke is referred to as the “Target.” The documents state, “Target may be involved in having committed the following criminal offenses…: One Count of Murder.” The language further alleges, “Target may be involved in the death of 14-year-old victim Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who may have been a victim of foul play.”
According to the court records, Hernandez’s body was discovered late last year inside Burke’s Tesla. The vehicle had been parked at a Hollywood tow yard. The details in the unsealed documents are described as graphic and disturbing by Los Angeles Magazine.

Investigators allege that Hernandez’s body was decomposing at the time it was found and had been dismembered. The filings state that her remains were located in two separate bags placed in the vehicle’s front storage compartment.
The petitions also address efforts by prosecutors to bring Burke’s parents to Los Angeles to appear before a grand jury. They are contesting the request, arguing that their due process rights are being violated.
As of now, no public statement has been issued by Burke or his representatives regarding the allegations. D4vd’s publicist has not yet received a response.
The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not announced formal charges in Los Angeles at this time, and further legal proceedings are expected as the case moves forward.
