Katie Price entered a not guilty plea in court today, denying charges that she harassed her ex-husband Kieran Hayler’s fiancée by violating her restraining order.
Katie is said to have referred to Michelle Penticost as a “c***ing whore” and accused the two of having an affair behind her back.
The mother of five has chosen to have her case heard in the crown court, with a plea and trial preparation hearing set for May at Lewes Crown Court.
According to The Mirror, the former beauty model appeared at Crawley Magistrates this morning and denied the charge of harassment and breach of her restraining order.
Katie was dressed in a green top and gilet as she arrived at the court, sporting her Carl Woods engagement ring.
Michelle, the partner of her former husband Kieran, was granted a five-year restraining order against the 43-year-old in June 2019, prohibiting her from contacting Michelle directly or indirectly.
During a quarrel on the school run in September 2018, the mother of five launched a tirade at Michelle.
Prosecuting, Jon Karani said that on January 21, Katie sent Kieran a message, saying: “Tell your c*ing whore piece of st girlfriend not to start with me.”
“She has a restraining order, she shouldn’t try to antagonize me.”
Katie also said that she was certain Michelle wouldn’t want others to know “she was having an affair with you behind my back the gutter slag,” the court was told.
The comment was allegedly sent in response to Michelle’s Instagram post about being “treated badly,” but Michelle claims it had nothing to do with Katie.
Joe Harrington, who is defending Katie, said he will use her mental health as a defense.
Katie was also heard adding, “I sent that to Kieran lol,” after she sent the message to a family member.
Katie had been placed on conditional bail by District Judge Amanda Kelly, who had ordered her not to contact Michelle directly or indirectly except to hand over the children.
She told Katie: “You are really in grave danger of going to prison,” and that she was “living dangerously”.
The reality star and author allegedly threw a foul-mouthed outburst at Kieran’s new spouse outside a primary school, according to Horsham JPs.
After Katie, who rose to fame as a teen model under the name Jordan, pleaded guilty in June 2019 to using threatening and abusive words or behavior likely to cause harassment, the restraining order was issued.
Katie was said to have approached Michelle at the school gates in September 2018 while she was speaking with another parent.
Katie is said to have exclaimed: “You can kiss my daughter but you can’t say hello.”
