Kim Zolciak is facing another major financial setback after the Internal Revenue Service filed a new tax lien against the former reality star earlier this month.
According to Us Weekly, the Internal Revenue Service filed a lien on Dec. 11 totaling $163,804.30 for unpaid federal taxes spanning three years. Zolciak, 47, reportedly owes $104,009.82 for 2019, $24,471.87 for 2023, and $35,322.71 for 2024.
This marks the second federal tax lien filed against Zolciak. In April 2023, the IRS placed a lien against both Zolciak and her now-estranged husband, Kroy Biermann. At the time, the couple reportedly owed roughly $1.1 million in unpaid taxes, interest, and penalties related to tax years 2013, 2017, and 2018, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
They also allegedly owed the state of Georgia $15,000 in unpaid state taxes for 2018. A representative for Zolciak did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Page Six. Zolciak’s financial troubles have continued to mount since her split from Biermann in May 2023.
In August of that year, Saks Fifth Avenue and Capital One sued the KAB Cosmetics founder for more than $150,000 in unpaid credit card debt. Two months later, Zolciak and Biermann were ordered to pay over $230,000 to Simmons Bank after defaulting on a home equity line of credit.
The legal issues continued into 2024. In June, a Georgia judge ruled in favor of Target National Bank, ordering Zolciak to pay a $2,482.24 credit card bill after she allegedly “failed, neglected, and refused” to settle the balance.
Zolciak is currently dating entrepreneur Kyle Mowitz. After learning about the relationship, Biermann reportedly contacted Mowitz’s estranged wife, Jillian Green, warning her that Zolciak would “financially … drain money from Kyle.”
In a June deposition connected to Mowitz and Green’s divorce, Green claimed Biermann also said Zolciak “was narcissistic and had a gambling problem” and that she “wasn’t present for her children,” according to Us Weekly.
Biermann filed for divorce from Zolciak in 2023 after nearly 11 years of marriage. The former couple share four minor children, and Biermann previously adopted Zolciak’s two eldest daughters.
