Millie Bobby Brown was all smiles Friday night as she celebrated her birthday at Maison Close in New York City, and the guest list raised a few eyebrows. Right there with her was “Stranger Things” co star David Harbour, along with her husband Jake Bongiovi.
Photos obtained by TMZ showed the “Stranger Things” actress wearing a white ruffled dress layered over pants and carrying what looked like a flag. Bongiovi, 23, leaned into the theme with a vintage style black jacket and white ruffled shirt. Brown, who also stars in “Enola Holmes,” styled her hair in an elaborate pompadour and accessorized with glittering jewelry for the night out.

Harbour kept things casual outside the party in a black ball cap, olive green coat, tan pants and black sneakers. The outlet reported that the 50 year old actor “arrived early and exited late in the evening.”
According to TMZ, the celebration included “Stranger Things” castmate Jamie Campbell Bower, director Shawn Levy, Whitney and Connor Leavitt, and Brown’s mother and grandparents, among others.

The public celebration comes months after reports of tension between Brown and Harbour surfaced ahead of the Netflix hit’s Season 5 premiere. In November, insiders alleged to the Daily Mail that the “Godzilla vs. Kong” actress had filed a formal complaint accusing Harbour of harassment and bullying before filming began.
“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season,” the insider claimed. “There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.”

Harbour was not accused of any sexual impropriety, but he reportedly became the subject of an internal investigation. Brown, who is now a mom of one, was said to have been accompanied by a personal representative during filming of the final episodes.
Despite the swirling speculation, the two appeared united at the series’ Season 5 premiere on Nov. 6, posing together and smiling on the red carpet. Brown later told the Hollywood Reporter, “I mean, we have always been united in that. We love this show with everything, and we value our friendship more than anything.”
