Actress Tori Spelling and four of her children were taken to the hospital following a serious car accident in Temecula, California, authorities have confirmed.
The collision took place on the evening of April 2, when another driver allegedly ran a red light and struck the vehicle Spelling was driving. At the time of the crash, the car was carrying four of her children as well as three of their friends eight occupants in total.
All were assessed at the scene before being transported to the hospital in separate ambulances, with injuries reported including cuts, bruises and concussions, according to TMZ, which first reported the incident.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to the scene at around 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, where they found two vehicles with significant damage. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, which remains under active investigation.

Spelling, 52, shares five children with her ex-husband, actor Dean McDermott. The accident has drawn an outpouring of concern from fans and fellow celebrities alike, many of whom have reached out to offer support as the family focuses on recovery.
While authorities have not released specific details regarding the severity of each person’s injuries, reports suggest that everyone involved is receiving medical care and that both Spelling and the children are expected to make a full recovery. The presence of the children’s friends in the vehicle added to the gravity of the situation, with multiple families affected by the crash.
The incident comes during what has already been a turbulent period for the Beverly Hills, 90210 star, who has faced a number of personal and financial challenges in recent years. Despite the circumstances, the focus for those close to her remains firmly on the wellbeing of those involved.
Temecula, located in Riverside County in Southern California, sees its share of traffic incidents along its busier intersections, and the investigation will likely examine traffic camera footage and witness accounts to establish a clearer picture of how the collision unfolded.
For now, Spelling and her family are taking things one day at a time as they recover from what was, by all accounts, a frightening and disorienting experience. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses and more details emerge about the condition of those hospitalised.
