Chris Brown has weighed in on Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance, and he did not hold back. Shortly after Bad Bunny wrapped up his big moment on the world’s biggest stage, the 36-year-old rapper jumped on Instagram Stories with a message that instantly got people talking.
“I think it’s safe to say… they need me,” Chris wrote, adding a winking face emoji. The post appeared just minutes after Bad Bunny finished his energetic halftime set, which had the stadium buzzing and social media lighting up, reported Page Six.
The Puerto Rican superstar delivered a full-on performance packed with some of his biggest Spanish-language hits. Fans were treated to tracks including Monaco, Yo Perreo Sola, and Tití Me Preguntó, with Bad Bunny bringing his usual confidence and high energy to the stage.

The crowd seemed fully locked in as he powered through the set, with the atmosphere feeling more like a massive concert than a sports event.
Bad Bunny was not alone either. While he performed, several celebrities were spotted dancing around him, adding even more star power to the moment. Among them were Cardi B, Pedro Pascal, Alex Earle, Jessica Alba, and Karol G, all seen enjoying the show and joining in with the vibe.
The appearance of so many familiar faces helped turn the halftime performance into a full-on celebrity moment, with cameras capturing plenty of reactions from those on and around the stage.
Chris Brown’s comment, though, quickly stole some of the attention online, with fans debating whether he was joking, throwing shade, or simply making a bold pitch for a future halftime slot of his own.
It is not the first time his name has been linked to a Super Bowl performance. Back in November 2025, Chris Brown’s manager, Anthony “Ant” Wilson, expressed hope that Bad Bunny would one day headline the halftime show.
“I also think the Super Bowl would be a great place for him,” Wilson told Billboard at the time. “I believe it will happen.” That prediction clearly came true, as Bad Bunny was officially announced as the headlining halftime performer in September 2025.
Bad Bunny has been on a steady rise for years, and his Super Bowl appearance marked another major milestone in his career. He previously appeared at the halftime show back in 2020, when he joined headliners Jennifer Lopez and Shakira as a guest performer.
Now, after finally taking centre stage as the main act, he has proved he can carry the entire halftime show on his own. And judging by Chris Brown’s post, there are already others watching closely and thinking about who should be next.
