Kris Jenner has revealed that she previously tried the weight-loss drug Ozempic but stopped using it after experiencing severe side effects, according to comments made during a recent appearance on the SHE MD podcast.
The Kardashians star said she experimented with the GLP-1 medication before it became widely known, but quickly developed a strong negative reaction. Jenner explained that the drug made her feel extremely nauseous and unable to continue working, prompting her to contact her doctor and discontinue treatment.
According to Jenner, she later explored alternative wellness options with medical guidance and eventually switched to peptide injections, which she described as more effective for her personal health routine.
Ozempic, which contains semaglutide, was originally approved to treat type 2 diabetes but has become widely associated with celebrity weight-loss trends due to its appetite-suppressing effects. The medication belongs to a class of drugs known as GLP-1 receptor agonists and has sparked ongoing discussion about side effects, accessibility, and off-label use in Hollywood.
During the podcast interview, Jenner also discussed other aspects of her health and beauty regimen, including regular hormone monitoring, supplements, and cosmetic procedures. She openly acknowledged undergoing a facelift in 2025, joking that the procedure had been “helpful.”
Jenner has repeatedly denied long-running speculation that she relies on weight-loss injections for her appearance. Her latest comments add to broader conversations surrounding celebrity use of GLP-1 medications and the increasing public scrutiny over cosmetic and wellness treatments.
The reality television personality remains one of several high-profile figures to publicly discuss experiences with weight-loss medications as interest in Ozempic and similar drugs continues to grow.
