Many of the same people who gave President Trump his 2024 election victory are seriously considering voting for Democrats in the midterms this fall, as he approaches the second year of his second term.
Some Trump 2024 voters in Iowa have “exhaustion” with the current government, according to CNN journalist John King‘s Monday programme. Iowans will choose a governor, a senator, and all four members of their congressional delegation this fall.
Kellerton, Iowa, cow rancher Shanen Ebersole told King that Trump’s recent obsession with annexing Greenland has her thinking about casting a Democratic ballot in the next midterm elections. No matter how you slice it, Ebersole firmly disagreed with it.
King asked whether it was her vote, and she responded with a quick “no.”Ebersole told King that she believed Congress was too focused on “money and power,” and that voters should choose a representative who would help them achieve their objectives.
Following the episode’s airing, King told CNN presenter Pamela Brown that he had spoken with Trump supporters in Pennsylvania and swing states like Iowa who live in congressional districts that are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the current government.
Trump supporters in Georgia shared this feeling, according to reporter Jeff Zeleny, who just reported from rural Georgia. “There is a sense of exhaustion. There’s no doubt among the true believers. They love it. But the sense of exhaustion is palpable,” according to him.
The trade policy has had a terrible impact on many people, but one issue that keeps coming up is the cost and affordability. The truth is that individuals will cast their votes based on how much money they have in their pockets. Not to mention that nothing has improved.
